Formed in 2005 by Dave Duffield and Aneel Bhusri, ex PeopleSoft, from day 1 Workday aimed to be a major disruptor in the 'Enterprise Resource Planning' (ERP) market. Their vision was to start with a clean sheet of paper and build, from the ground up, a true cloud based application that would support finance, HR and planning within any size enterprise.

Over 10 years later, they have built a solution that is regarded by many as best of breed, regularly featuring in the top percentile of industry analysis produced by the likes of Gartner and Forrester.
